I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
